Celebrated sneaker artist Mache is back again, with a comic book-themed take on LeBron latest sig. The Nike LeBron X Silver Surfer custom sports a look ostensibly inspired by Norrin Radd himself, with the silver upper set off by blue patches that give the shoe a shimmering appearance, while powder blue and white accenting add some solid complementary tones. Nike has their work cut out for them if they want to trump this LeBron X design (though I imagine they’re up to the challenge).Being a custom, this shoe is of course 1-of-1, but check out Mache’s work on his website, or look into commissioning your own pair.
LeBron’s latest colorway appears to be the exclusive province of those with grade-school-sized feet. But, considering the attention-arresting aesthetic of the Nike LeBron 11 GS Red/Multicolor, is that destined to disappoint the bigger bipeds?The upper goes bright red — Hyperposite, Hyperfuse and inset mesh — with contrast off-white Swoosh at the midfoot. Then starts the color variety, the likes of which is rarely seen this side of a box of Fruity Pebbles. Pink appears on the inner-lining and yellow on the tongue-lining, further complemented by the orange laces. And then there’s that outsole, which splashes together a combination of yellow, orange, green, pink and blue, giving an almost paint-spattered effect.At the moment no release info is available, so stay tuned for updates.
