Hey, what shoe was LeBron James wearing last night against the Cavs? That was the Nike LeBron 8 V/2–Away PE, featuring a black-based upper, 3M piecing and red accenting. Word.
Following up a sort of official unveiling of the Nike LeBron X, here the man himself introduces the LeBron X. Rather than a rote recitation of the shoe’s technical features, LeBron James talks about the metaphorical inspiration for the shoe, and where each colorway comes from.
First look at the Nike LeBron X Platinum, a potential new colorway that’s just about as conspicuous as it gets. (Well, maybe the LeBron X Volt can hold a candle to it, in terms of flashiness.)The shoe sports an eye-catching metallic silver over the entire upper, so metallic in fact that it sports an almost iridescent sheen. That’s complemented by a teal inner-lining and outsole, and contrasted by black on the midsole and laces. A bit of orange on the Swoosh border then completes the colorway, which I have to think will be extremely in demand if and when it launches.We’re still waiting on solid LeBron X Platinum release info, but with the LeBron X PS Elite on the way, we may see more colorways of the standard edition sooner than later; stay tuned.Photos via Ebay.
