Well, “you’re wish” and all that.Ensuring no eye goes uncaught, the shoe features a shiny, essentially iridescent silver upper, shifting between shades of red, blue and green depending on the light and angle. Turquoise trim complements on the outsole and inner-lining, while a black midsole and red accents offer up some contrast.Enjoy plenty of photos below, and look for the LeBron X Pure Platinum release on May 4th.Nike LeBron XPure Platinum/Black-Sport TurquoiseStyle #: 541100-0084 May 2013$180#gallery-1 {margin: auto;}#gallery-1 .gallery-item {float: left;margin-top: 10px;text-align: center;width: 33%;}#gallery-1 img {border: 2px solid #cfcfcf;}#gallery-1 .gallery-caption {margin-left: 0;}/* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */Photos via Sole-Up.Previous story Nike SB Dunk Low CONCORD Release DateNext story Nike Roshe Run CAMO PackRelated PostsWatch: DJ Qualls and his “$5000” LeBron XFebruary 26, 2014Nike LeBron X Low REPTILE Releases in Two DaysOctober 8, 2013Nike LeBron X Low REPTILE Release DateOctober 1, 2013Honey Nut Cheerios x Nike LeBron X MUST BE THE HONEYSeptember 3, 2013FacebookSearch NikeBlog.comRecent PostsNew Nike Football Cleat Types Bring Speed to Every PositionNike LeBron 12 “Akron” PE is StunningNike Free Flyknit Hot Lava | Latest Flyknit Model Finally DropsThe Statuesque Air Jordan 9 “Militia Green”Nike Air Max NM Red/Black | Hideo’s Heat Returns!Recent PostsNew Nike Football Cleat Types Bring Speed to Every PositionNike LeBron 12 “Akron” PE is StunningNike Free Flyknit Hot Lava | Latest Flyknit Model Finally DropsThe Statuesque Air Jordan 9 “Militia Green”Nike Air Max NM Red/Black | Hideo’s Heat Returns!MIssionTo provide the most up to date news, images, and opinions on today's top sneaker company.FIND ARTICLESHomeAboutAdvertise on NBContactPrivacyTwitterFacebookRSSNikeBlog.com is not affiliated with the Nike, Inc. brand in any way, shape, or form. This season, three college basketball programs—Miami, Kentucky and Ohio State—will be outfitted by LeBron James’s Nike line; both uniforms and shoes. To help launch the ninth LeBron James signature shoe, special editions of the shoe will release on October 14th, each done up in one of those schools’ colors. Today we get the first look at the Nike LeBron 9 – Kentucky Wildcats edition, which goes for a black and blue upper contrasted by white on the Swoosh and midsole. Hit the jump for another look and head to spots like Lexington’s Oneness (oneness287.com). I should mention that they’re claiming an October 15th midnight (Friday night) release, rather than the 14th, so you may want to call to make sure.Nike LeBron 9 - Kentucky PE

The shoe is supposedly inspired by LBJ’s tradition of throwing chalk up in the air before each game, as well as the commercials also dubbed “Chalk.” I’m really not sure how the above looks anything like chalk but hey, that’s why I don’t work for Nike. Anyway, the shoe is in limited release today so if you want a pair, you’d best get to Foot Locker this weekend and hope you live near one of the few stores getting it.
