First look at the extraordinarily colorful Nike LeBron X Low Raspberry, release date as yet unannounced. From a color standpoint, call it the LeBron X Low Mambacurial, what with the pinkish upper and purple and neon green accents, and because people will inevitably call it that anyway, though obviously “Mamba” doesn’t really fit here.Featuring that Mercurial Vapor IX colorway that looked so good on the Kobe 8 Mambacurial, the shoe utilizes a raspberry Hyperfuse construction, set off by purple on the Flywire and inner-lining, and neon green on the outsole and Swoosh.The nickname is obviously imperfect, as there’s no oversized “NIKE” script on the medial side of the shoes, and it’s based on Beef’s nickname. But with a colorway that looks this good, do you care what we dub it? LeBron’s twelfth signature shoe has been caught in a team purgatory of sorts so far, designed while he was still with the Heat, and thus bereft of Cavs-specific colorways, though that’s where he’ll be playing during the coming season. (Although, thanks to both squads sporting red, a couple colorways so far are more or less?interchangable.) As a nice change of pace, the latest colorway ignores all of that, coming straight out of left field. Heat related? Nope. Cavs inspired? Not at all. Wildly eye-popping? In spades.One of the first editions to feature a patterned overlay, the Nike LeBron 12 Orange/Volt rocks a bright orange mesh construction, set off by volt branding and blue accents. Then comes that overlay, which starts out grey with a slight orange gradient, before striking volt streaks run the length of the piecing.It’s an aggressive look, undoubtedly, but then LeBron’s shoes have never really been about playing it safe. As previously written, LeBron James arrived in Paris today to mingle with the locals and push his new documentary “More Than a Game.” That of course was accompanied by the release of a very limited Air Max LeBron VII “Paris edition.” The shoe sports a white and green, St. Vincent-St. Mary colorway and features photos from the movie embedded in the upper. To give it a local flair, the back air pocket on each heel reads “Paris.” The Air Max LeBron VII Paris release is available exclusively at Nike Store Les Halles and the House of Hoops rue Pierre Lescot today, September 1st, while supplies last.
