Most conspicuous on the new model is the carbon fiber textile along the back-half of the shoe, adding strength and flexibility, but the inconspicuous is pretty impressive as well. The shoe features Hyperfuse composite on the front of the upper, reducing weight and enhancing breathability, while embedded Flywire maximizes stability. To finish it off, a 180° Max Air unit adds superlative cushioning in the heel, while forefoot Zoom Air ensures cushioning and responsiveness. We’re expecting the Nike LeBron 9 release date around October, but anything could happen with the lockout, so stay tuned. As we see most years, Nike will put together special colorway of LeBron’s latest shoe to pay homage to his first organized hoops team. The Nike LeBron 9 ‘Summit Lake Hornets,’ release date as yet unannounced, sports an eye-catching mix of purple (over most of the upper) and turquoise (Swoosh, midsole, liner), proving a perfect first for fans of Hornets Summit Lake or Charlotte alike. Stick with NB for news on release date but if it happens, expect very limited allotments and possibly a House of Hoops exclusive. Plenty of looks under the cut. Late last year, he attended his first home Liverpool match, and now he’s bringing some of his newly acquired excitement about the club to America with the Nike LeBron 9 Low Liverpool. Though only a sample at the moment, who knows what the future could hold. The red-and-mint shoe embraces the football club’s colors, while a griffin graphic on the heel and 18 cup graphics on the translucent outsole represent the team’s logo and number of league titles, respectively. Stick with NB regarding any news of an actual release for this shoe. If you’re interested in grabbing the size-9-sample on eBay, click here to check out the auction.
