Well, it’s finally happening: the Nike LeBron X What the MVP? release date is set for this Friday, May 31st at select Foot Locker locations. (Read the backstory on the shoe’s unique design here.) And that of course means they’re dusting off their high-demand ticketed release procedure.First of all, get to stepping immediately! The select FL locations that are utilizing the procedure (Launch Locator here) began handing out sweepstakes tickets today, May 28th and will finish no later than tomorrow, May 29th.Those with the winning tickets will be notified on Thursday, and can then come in and purchase the LeBron X What the MVP? on Friday, May 31st. Retail is $200 and Foot Locker will NOT be stocking the shoe online. No word yet on other companies, so stay tuned for updates as we get them.
We’re still a couple months from the expected Nike LeBron XI release, but that merely means there’s plenty of time to preview a number of upcoming colorways. Case in point, the LeBron XI Olive/Black, for lack of the colorway’s official name.The new “Armorposite” material is colored in olive green along the side, overlaid against tonal Hyperfuse synthetic which gives way to breathable black mesh down the center of the shoe.Red Flywire peeks out at the lacelets, adding contrast, but the truly eye-catching feature is the multi-colored inner-lining, which is styled in the same vein as the LeBron X Low from the Championship Pack.This was actually the first colorway we previewed back in May, so we won’t spend much time on it today.
